Wigs on TV

If you watched the Super Bowl on Sunday, then you saw commercials for the new show 'Smash.' The show is about a musical about Marilyn Monroe. Since the casting of the main character is part of the show, viewers see many actresses dressed like Monroe. This is the part where many mid-length blonde wigs are seen across the nation.

The show drew many viewers and it looks like it will be sticking around for a while. There was a scene with maybe a dozen women with blonde hairstyles. It's uncertain if those actresses were all blonde and styled their hair, or if they were all wearing blonde wigs. If they were wearing wigs, then that may have been very expensive since wigs seen on TV are usually expensive. Viewers know that there will be more wigs seen soon because one of the stars, Katharine McPhee, has long brown hair and will need a wig to play her role.
